Greetings to all!

Suzy Speas graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation and a minor in Sociology. Finishing Clemson’s program enabled her to receive certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. (Big words and a fancy title that just means she’s trained to play.)

Being born and raised United Methodist she grew up in the SC Conference youth program, from Youth Group to the Conference Youth Choir to Springmaid Retreats. That strong base led her to the Wesley Foundation at Clemson and some great experiences working with the United Methodist Conference.

Suzy continues to be active through connections in the church as the Columbia District Youth Coordinator and member of the Spiritual Formation Task Force of the Laity Board. As her ministry continues in the local church she has found a wonderful family in Ashland.

If you are ever at a United Methodist event and think you are seeing double, Suzy has two sisters that are also very active in the church and love to be mistaken for the youngest sister. But her pride and joy is her nephew, stop by her office, she’ll be glad to share pictures.
